Amityville

Second graders at Northwest Elementary School in Amityville concluded the school year with a unit on the life cycle of baby chicks. 

Students learned about their life cycles by incubating the eggs in the classrooms. Northwest received the chicks from a local farm and watched them develop and hatch over time. Following the completion of this unit, the chicks were safely transported to a local farm.
