Amityville Memorial High School honors culture and heritage

Amityville Memorial High School brought the world to Amityville school community on April 22 with its annual Multicultural Celebration, a lively and meaningful event highlighting the rich diversity of its student body.
Held in the school’s cafeteria, the celebration welcomed students to share and explore cultures from around the globe. Representing a wide range of countries and backgrounds, students proudly honored their family heritage through an engaging mix of activities and displays.
The event featured an exciting blend of dance and music performances, traditional games, and a variety of cultural foods, offering attendees an immersive experience across different regions of the world. Students also created detailed display boards that told the stories and histories of their families’ countries, adding an educational and personal element to the festivities.
Throughout the celebration, the cafeteria was filled with energy and connection, as students learned from one another and embraced the traditions that make their community unique. Festive raffle prizes added an extra layer of excitement to the day’s events.
