Tie-dye, teamwork and tons of fun at Northeast Elementary School

Bright colors, big smiles and boundless energy filled the grounds of Northeast Elementary School in Amityville as pre-kindergartners celebrated the school's annual Field Day on May 29.
Dressed in festive tie-dye shirts, students and teachers embraced the sunny spring weather and spent the day participating in a variety of outdoor activities designed to encourage movement, teamwork and friendship. As they rotated through stations across the field, students eagerly took part in face painting, relay races, a hula hoop challenge, hopscotch and other fun-filled games.
Laughter and cheers could be heard throughout the day as students supported one another, worked together and celebrated each accomplishment. Whether racing toward the finish line, mastering a hula hoop or showing off a colorful face-paint design, every student had an opportunity to participate and make lasting memories.
Field Day is a cherished annual tradition at Northeast, providing students with a chance to enjoy active outdoor play while strengthening friendships and practicing teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. The event served as a joyful celebration of the pre-K students' hard work throughout the school year and highlighted the sense of community that makes Northeast such a special place to learn and grow.
