Northeast’s kindergarten students mark a joyful milestone in Amityville

Northeast Elementary School in Amityville celebrated a joyful milestone on June 18 as kindergarten students marked their moving-up ceremony surrounded by family, teachers, and school staff.
Held in the school’s gymnasium, the event featured heartfelt performances by the young students, who sang songs for their guests as part of the celebration. The gym was transformed into a vibrant display of student creativity, with colorful artwork featuring peace symbols and butterflies reflecting this year’s theme, “Peace Begins With Us.”
Principal Dr. Pauline Collins addressed the students and families, commending each kindergartner for their growth, accomplishments, and enthusiasm throughout the school year. She praised their hard work and encouraged them as they prepare to begin first grade and continue their educational journeys. District administrators were also in attendance to support the celebration and honor the students’ achievements alongside school leaders and families.
The Amityville School District congratulates its youngest learners on this special achievement and looks forward to their continued success as they take their next steps in learning and discovery.
