Edmund W. Miles Middle School recently welcomed students and families who are new to the Amityville Union Free School District with a special breakfast designed to help them feel connected, supported and at home in their new school community.

School staff used the gathering as an opportunity to introduce students to the expectations, routines and resources available at E.W. Miles, while also reassuring them that they have a team of educators ready to help them succeed. Students learned more about how their middle school experience will help them build the academic, social and real-world skills they will need as they prepare for high school and beyond.

For families who have recently moved to Amityville, the event was also an important first step in building relationships and creating a sense of belonging. At E.W. Miles, we want every student to know that they are seen, supported and an important part of the Tide.

We are excited to welcome our newest students and families to Amityville and look forward to helping them learn, grow and thrive throughout the year.
