Kiwanis Club Brings Fall Fun to Northeast Elementary

Northeast Elementary School’s youngest learners enjoyed a special fall tradition thanks to the generosity of members of the Kiwanis Club.

Kiwanians Townsend Thorn, Rick Licari and Gerry Compitello visited Northeast to distribute pumpkins to Pre-K and kindergarten students. The pumpkins quickly became part of the fall fun as students transformed them into their very own jack-o’-lanterns.

The activity brought plenty of smiles and excitement to the classrooms while giving students an opportunity to enjoy a seasonal, hands-on experience together.

The district extends its sincere thanks to the Kiwanis Club and its members for continuing to support Amityville students. Community partnerships like these help create memorable experiences for our students while strengthening the connections between our schools and the community we serve.
