Park Avenue Memorial Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Through Music, Dance and Poetry

Park Avenue Memorial Elementary School was filled with music, movement and cultural pride as students took the stage for a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
The program featured performances inspired by traditions from across Latin America, beginning with a Spanish rendition of the National Anthem. Students shared poetry, musical selections and presentations highlighting the countries and cultures that are part of their heritage.
Among the highlights were “Punta: The Heartbeat of Honduras,” “Salvadoran Fútbol Legends” and a fifth-grade bachata performance led by Ms. Diaz and Ms. Pravata. Other performances included “Orgullo de Mi Tierra” (Pride in My Homeland) and “Corazón y Cultura: A Celebration of Music.”
Each performance offered something different, from traditional dance and music to personal expressions of cultural identity. Together, they created an entertaining and educational experience for students and families.
