On Feb. 27, students throughout the Amityville School District marked Black History Month with a series of performances at Amityville Memorial High School.
District administrators, staff members throughout the district, and parents gathered at the high school’s auditorium as students in grades K-12 celebrated Black culture through dance, music and poetry. Many of the performers wore matching clothes to promote unity, and each performance received a resounding applause from those in attendance.
The district would like to commend all of the performers and directors for putting together a memorable celebration of Black history.
