From March 3-7, students and teachers at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville participated in several activities to celebrate National Read Across America Week.
The purpose of National Read Across America Week is to motivate students to read, celebrating reading and literacy, and building a sense of community around books. The weeklong activities included a celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Wacky Wednesday, Crazy Socks Day, and Rainbow Colors Day. Additionally, Northeast kicked off their celebration of Women’s History Month.
