Successful Back to School Night at Northeast Elementary School
On Sept. 30, Northeast Elementary School’s parents and guardians received a “Red Carpet” welcome at Back to School Night in Amityville.
The evening began with an ENL Parent Workshop at 5:30 p.m., in which families learned about the process of identifying and providing services to students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Shortly after, the Back to School Night program officially opened with a warm welcome and presentation from Principal Dr. Pauline Collins, who highlighted important topics including school safety and the range of support services available to students and parents.
The program continued with an inspiring address by the newly chartered PTA President Mrs. Kayla Cooper, followed by classroom presentations where parents had the opportunity to connect with teachers and learn more about curriculum and expectations. Families also enjoyed browsing the Scholastic Book Fair, which added excitement and opportunities to foster a love of reading.
The evening was a true success thanks to the strong turnout and support of our families.
