Amityville

Northeast Elementary School in Amityville was filled with holiday cheer as students, staff, and families came together to celebrate the season with a week full of joyful events and spirited fun. 

Families enjoyed a cozy Holiday Reading Night, bringing the school community together to celebrate the magic of books and the joy of reading. Excitement continued as Santa made a special visit to Northeast, giving students the chance to snap festive photos and share some holiday smiles. 

Music filled the school during its annual kindergarten and pre-K holiday concerts, in which students proudly showcased their talents and spread cheer through song and performance. 

Adding even more excitement, Northeast hosted a festive Spirit Week, encouraging everyone to dress up and celebrate each day: 

• Holiday hats kicked off the fun. 

• Cozy holiday pajamas paired perfectly with a school movie afternoon. 

• Red and green holiday colors brightened the halls. 

• Ugly sweaters brought laughter and creativity. 

• Staff enjoyed a special holiday breakfast to wrap up the celebration. 

Throughout the week, the school was transformed into a charming gingerbread village, creating a warm and magical atmosphere for all who visited.
