Northeast welcomes Pushcart Players for bilingual theatre experience

Northeast Elementary School in Amityville recently welcomed the Pushcart Players for a special performance of their bilingual production, “Cuentos del Árbol.”
Held in the school’s gymnasium, the event provided pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students with the unique opportunity to experience a professional live theatre performance up close.
The production served as both an engaging introduction to theatre and an educational experience, celebrating elements of American history while connecting young audiences to meaningful stories about the nation’s founding. Through music, storytelling, and dynamic performances, students were immersed in an interactive and memorable learning experience.
Pushcart Players’ programming is designed to support a wide range of educational goals, including social studies, literature, and history, while also addressing the needs of diverse learners. Their work emphasizes values such as equity, diversity, access, and inclusion, making the performance both enriching and accessible for all students.
Northeast students were attentive and enthusiastic throughout the show, clearly inspired by the performers’ energy and creativity. The Arlen School District extends its sincere thanks to Pushcart Players for providing such an outstanding and impactful experience for its youngest learners.
