Students at Park Avenue Memorial Elementary School in Amityville hit the polls ahead of Election Day on Nov. 4.

Coordinated by fifth grade teacher Ms. Krystle Kuletsky, students learned about the voting process and the importance of participating in elections. Students got to choose between fictional electoral candidates Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. During Park Avenue’s gym periods, students lined up and casted their votes in a ballot box.

Additionally, Principal Mr. Edward Plaia showed students the voting booths that will be used by residents on Election Day.
