It was a family affair at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville as the school welcomed grandparents on Nov. 8, allowing them to not only observe the lessons but to participate in the day’s activities.

During Grandparents Day, which has become an annual tradition at Northeast, the special guests visited the pre-K and kindergarten classes. They assisted with a variety of activities, from coloring in pictures of grandmas and grandpas to fall-themed art projects and story time.
